Beechfield Hurricane 1 – Under 10’s Blues 3

Despite a late push from Beechfield the Blues were convincing winners in their penultimate league game of this season away to Beechfield. Hurricanes.

The Blues started quickly knocking the ball around and testing the Beechfield defence and were soon in front when Callum Wilcock arrived at the front post and flicked home Bradley Johnson’s corner with the outside of his right foot. (more…)

Once again Moorside Blue U8’s took to the pitch with a bare minimum seven players having lost two of their number to loan spells to the newly formed Greens.

The Blue Hoops however, were relishing this eagerly awaited local derby against a Deans side which they were still to beat despite two previous close encounters ending in well earned draws. (more…)

Moorside v Bolton SS

After playing so badly in our last game it was important that the lads improved against the top of the league.Dave and me made it clear what was expected of them before the game started,and they didnt let us down.The first twenty minutes were pretty equal with neither side creating much.kieran put a corner under the bar and from the knock down Jack Boddy volleyed over the keeper to give us the lead,and that was the score at half-time. The Blues finally broke thier home shirt jinx missing a sack full of chances in winning away 2-0 at Beechfield Hurricane.

The Blues started impressively kncoking the ball around the pitch testing Beechfield.

A number of early chances went wide before Callum Wilcock’s shot beat the keeper only to hit the post. (more…)
